BRIEF BIO DATA OF DIRECTOR OF WORKS

1.         BA-3683 Brigadier General Md Ashraful Islam, psc was born on 21 October 1968 in a respective Muslim family at Teesta of Lalmonirhat district.

2.         He passed SSC & HSC from Rangpur Cadet College and was commissioned in Bangladesh Army on 22 Dec1989 with 21st BMA Long Course. After commission he served in various units and formations in Bangladesh Army. He has served in UN Mission as contingent 2IC in Demining Coy in Ethopia/Eritrea UNMEE and as Force Engineer at Force HQ in UNMIS and UNMISS. He also served as Chief Engineer at Sena Kalyan Sangstha and as Engineer Adviser at Ministry of Defence. At present he is serving as Director of Works, E in C’s Branch Army Headquarters with effect from 25 January 2016.

3.         He has completed his B.Sc Engineering (Civil) from BUET, MDS (Masters in Defence Studies) from National University and EMBA from ADUST. He is a Graduate of Mirpur Defence Services Command and Staff College.

4.         He visited many foreign countries India, Ethopia, Eritrea, UAE, Italy, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Uganda, China and Singapore.

5.         He is proud father of 03 daughters.
