BRIEF BIO DATA OF E IN C

 

1.       Major General Mohd Habibur Rahman Khan, ndc, psc joined Bangladesh Military Academy on 27 July 1979 and was commissioned in the Corps of Engineers of Bangladesh Army. He obtained 1st Class in B.Sc Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET) and Masters of Science in Defence Geographic Information from Cranfield University, UK.  He obtained Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from Royal Roads University, Canada and Masters in Defence Studies (MDS) from National University, Bangladesh. He has completed M.Phil Part I from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP). He has undergone number of military courses both at home and abroad, notable ones are Advance Engineer Company Command course in India, Combat Military Engineering course in China, Army Survey Course in UK (RSMS).  He is a graduate both from Defence Services Command and Staff College and National Defence College at Mirpur, Dhaka. 

 

2.       General Habib served in different Engineer Battalions in various appointments including commanding 16 Engineer Construction Battalion. He served as Commander Military Engineering Service and Project Director of road construction project at Chittagong Hill Tracts. He was Brigade Major of an Independent Engineer Brigade and Grade 2 Operations Staff of an Infantry Division. He also served as Grade 1 Operations Staff of Military Operation Directorate, Army Headquarters. He served as an instructor in Engineer Centre & School of Military Engineering. He was the Head of Civil Engineering Department at Military Institute of Science & Technology (MIST). He served as Officer in Charge of Emergency Response Team in Kuwait from 1996-97. He was Chief Force Engineer in United Nations Mission in Liberia (UNMIL) during 2005-06. He also served as Surveyor General in Survey of Bangladesh. Before joining as Engineer in Chief in Army Headquarters he served as Commandant MIST.

 

3.       General Habib attended many Seminars and Conferences both at home and abroad. He has visited USA, UK, France, Italy, Japan, China, Saudi Arabia, India, Malaysia, Singapore and many other countries.

 

4.       He is married to Begum Sabina Rahman Khan and proud father two sons Mohd Azfar Habib Khan and Mohd Ahnaf Habib Khan.
