1.         BA-2503 Major General Md Siddiqur Rahman Sarker, SGP, hdmc, psc was born in August 1963 in Narshingdi district. He was commissioned in the Corps of Engineers in Bangladesh Army in the year of 1983. He is a graduate in Civil Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). He has undergone number of courses both at home and abroad. Notable ones are "Higher Defence Management Course-1" in College of Def Management, Secondrabad, India and "Army Staff Course-24" at DSCSC, Mirpur Cantt, Dhaka. He has successfully completed Post Graduation from BUET and National University. He has achieved Masters in Management Science (MMS) with distinction from Osmania University, India. He was awarded numerous operational and non-operational honors and awards. "President Boarder Guard Padak", Jaistatha Padak", "UN Padak", "Parliamentary Election-1996", "Silver Jubilee Padak", "Plaban Padak" are the few to name.

.2.         Major General Md Siddiqur Rahman Sarker has served in different Command, Staff and other important appointments. He served as the Sector Commander of Boarder Guard of Bangladesh. He was the Director of Works & Chief Engineer (DW & CE) of Bangladesh Army. He Commanded the 14 Indp Engr Bde. He was also the Area Commander, Log Area. He was the Commandant of Military Institute of Science and Technology in Mirpur Cantt before joining at E in C's Br. He joined in E in C’s Br from 29 September 2015.

.3.         Major General Md Siddiqur Rahman Sarker attended many seminars both home & abroad. He is a widely travelled person and travelled countries in Asia, Europe and Africa continents.

4.         He is married to Gazi Rebeka Rowsun and they are blessed with a daughter Samreen Siddique and a son Raslan Siddique Tanzim.
